    Puzzle looks confusing at first, but a great moderator on here set me straight a long time ago. He said the board is always laid out so your pawns are going up the board regardless of playing the white or black pieces. The pawns always go up. Also a quick look at the lettering shows you are indeed playing white. How that white king snuck back there is another matter!
