    What about 1...Kh8 ?

Qxf6, then pull a discovered check with Rg8 and after the king takes back, take out the knight defender with Bxe6 and finally Qg7#, backed up by the bishop

Yeah, that looks like it.  I can't find any way for black to stop a forced mate despite Qxf6 not being check.  The longest sequence I followed was five moves, two moves longer than the game/puzzle.  I wonder how many people claiming this was easy really tried to follow 1 .. Kh8 all the way.

I almost had it, but missed that Rg8 would be a double check, forcing the king back into the pin/line of fire of the white bishop.  That was the critical insight that was needed.

Got this one. But couldn't the last move be to just put the queen on the corner besides the king?

I could see the king needed to be moved, but wasn't sure how to do it at first.  I learned from this puzzle.  Thanks. Embarassed

Why would you allow the King access to f7 when you have a mate?  After King moves to f7 you're gonna have to move back to g7 anyways for the mate.  Wasted move to place the queen in the corner.
