I wont agree that this is good puzzle as there are many right solution, almost all moves of Rook are right, exept a1, b1, e1.PS. I'd like to propose to chess.com developers to block messages like "1st" "first" "first page" or something like that, and mark users who post that messages as "idiot"
i'd rather post first than post "idiot". well, chess.com should block you first, don't you think?
bishop control the light square and its the only move for Black
the rook must go on the last rank and black square
and i thought it was going to be hard
plenty of longer routes to mate here :P Like almost any rook move from white :P
Why doesn't any other rook move along the file work?
They work but this is the single fastest way to mate. Perhaps it would have been more clever to write 'mate in two' in the title, it was probably in the description in the original puzzle.
Ok. Thanks for the quick reply!
Piece of cake!!
OMJ. I solved one finally
Why do people post "first"?
Why do people compete at anything? Isn't the question part of the answer?
a bit nice.
I just saw the puzzle posted and I already know the solution even without browsing it...
