It's a semi-smothered mate. Not too hard for me to see, as I'm familiar with the normal smothered mate pattern.
Goes like this
Ng7+,Kf8, Nxe6+, Ke8, Qf8+, Rxf8,Ng7#
wow that queen sac was awesome. Something you'd typically overlook.

Smoosh in your face black! Well I would have done the same too.
Yeah the problem with 'puzzles' like this is that although the 'solution' wins the most quickly, almost any reasonable move wins. This was really 'See if you can find the prettiest win'.
This is almost exactly like the smothered mate that Philidor guy invented.
