I tried 1.Qa5+ and it was rejected. Then it turned out to be the solution.
Anyhow, 1.Qd8+ works just as well.If 1 ... Rb8, white has two ways to mate in 2,2. Qa5# or 2. Qxb8#
If 1. ... Ka7, then 2. Qa5#
That is a classic squeeze play!
1. Ng6+ Kh7
2. Nf8+ Kh8
easy peasy lemon squeezey, just the thing that makes me queezey, it's a joke that's really cheesey
way cool....fasted way to mate. White was in good shape on a few moves at that point...I'd like to see the openning for that sequence. I'll try to imagine how that could come to be hmmm...
