This is the kind of puzzle I like at most.
Not difficult and complex at the same time.

I'm not even going to bother replying to all of those cause you still can't read notation.
Look at what you wrote
IN WHICH YOU LEFT OUT 1...Rg1+ 2. Kh3 3. Nf2+ Kh4 4. Rg4++
The white knight can't get to f2, nor is it a check on Black's king. Learn how to read notation. Seriously. Or don't even bother trying to put up puzzles if you can't properly communicate lines to other chess players.
To answer your question, that line is ALSO in my solution, given that you probably meant 2..Nf2. You put down 3..Rg4#, and I put down 3..g5# which also gets mate-in-3. I thought mating with the pawn was prettier.
1... Rg1+ 2. Kh4 ( 2. Kf4 Bh6# ) ( 2. Kh3 Nf2+ 3. Kh4 ( 3. Kh2 Rg2# ????????) 3... g5# ) 2... Bxc5 3. Bxc5 Rh8#
Otherwise, I'm done replying until you can properly learn how to communicate lines effectively and read all the parentheses in the variations. Take care.

I must be missing something. Why isn't QxQ also mate? The Rook is pinned; the King cannot capture the White Queen and I don't see any escape for him.

I like these different puzzles.

Liked the puzzle. Seems someone at Chess.com is putting puzzels up for me. I could use a lot of help with my knights. Thanks!

In your first puzzle, what's wrong with 2. Qg4#

Easy mate.

Regarding your first puzzle: White's 2nd move was Qf3+, requiring several more moves for a mate, whereas Qg4# instead is a 2-move solution!

No. You're not missing anything. QxQ just wasn't the chosen solution, as there is more than one way to checkmate.

on prtiva's first puzzle.... Qg5# is the most efficient move....the way the puzzle suggests is nonsense
