    a more interesting finish would have been, if black played 2 ............g5, white would play pxp (ep), mate.  It must be quite unusual for en passant to lead to mate.

    Yes, this looks vaguely familiar - I know of a game (in a book I haven't time to look up just now) that ends that way. I posted it some time back so if you really want you can search my posting history. Laughing
