Good puzzle - variation on the standard 'smothered mate', so I was tempted to try 2.Nh6++   3.Qxg8+ ... as per formula but that only works if there's a rook, not queen on the back rank.

Very similar one was posted a few months ago so I probably remembered the knight blocking move from that.
