i was wondering why my rook move was "wrong" at the end... looks like they forgot to call it a correct move ;)
Tough. Please be relevant, helpful & nice!
i liked that one not too hard not too easy
Why not Rxh6?!!!
"The last move shouldn't be in the puzzle. Two possible mates - either rook can move to the h-file." Agree
What is wrong with the following?
It seemed like a good solution to me...
The rooks are no longer connected =)
1. Bishop C2 would lead to mate in 3
Why not 1. Bc2 ... ?
The last move shouldn't be in the puzzle. Two possible mates - either rook can move to the h-file.
Yeah I sat here like an idiot for five minutes trying to move to h6 over and over. I guess the Rxh7 move is superior because it wins a pawn? I don't see why both weren't built in.
not easy and not too hard
blacks bishop move was dumb, it was defending 2 crucial squares(g4, and h7). the checkmate was nice but if i was black i would have moved my rooks and pressured the white bishop. or moved my rook to f8 that way if there was an exchange on the g4 square all black needed for the checkmate was to get the other rook on b1. the checkmate worked because black screwed up. black was actually up a pawn and position. lame puzzle the bishop should not have moved imo.
