Good puzzle! Nice and easy.Goodbye!
On 1. Rxb8 Rxb8 2. Bf4 Rf8 3. Qe7 Rg8 not 4. Bxe5+ but 4. Qf6+ Rg7 5. Qxg7#.
Dint understand this one .Can anyone explain
In your line 3...Qxf4 (the most delaying move for the inevitable) allows immediate 4. Qg7#.
The line i was looking at for a while was...
1 Bf6+...R or Qxf6
2Qxf6+...remainding Q or Rxf6
3Rxb8+...Q or Rf8
Which is a good line in that situation though the black king has a chance to escape on...
In that position i still think white is better but does provide an out for the black king.
You're right... fixing it now...
I mistakenly thought 1. Bf4 was the answer because I had thought it saved time by not exchanging rooks first. I now see that 1. Bf4 Rxb1 2. Qe7, while threatening to checkmate, allows 2...Rxf1+. However after 3. Kxf1 Qxd3+ 4. Kg1 black shortly runs out of checks and will then be checkmated. So it appears 1. Bf4 works also but takes longer. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
pretty hard but very nice
interesting use of a Block
a question! Black can achive draw if start with Q*f2 and repeat checks right?
Hmmm... I don't think so... Qxf2 Rxf2...
Qxf2+? Rxf2 Rxc1+ Kg2! white wins
anything is possible....
cant we do Bf6+ Rxf6 Qxf6+ Qxf6 Rxb8 Qd8 Rxd8# or Qf8 Rxf8#
