Second!  I hate how the title gives these away.

Good moves! This will encourage me to look for the 'steal' in tough situations

Great stuff. As the late great chessplayer Frank J. Marshall said something to the effect, "(That) when I began accepting draws, I began winning tournaments."

It would be exciting if the title was not leading us to a solution!

It takes away the excitement of solving the puzzle!

This is not to say the puzzle is bad...NOOOOO!

The puzzle is simply good as we all have been in situations where you lose or draw a won  game or viceversa!

It is a good puzzle, but why should I, playing with white, try to steal the draw in this position? White can win this game.

Are you talking about what White should do after 1...Rxf7? If so, then that's because the e7 pawn is pinned by the rook.

If you're saying that White can win, I don't think so. Black's pawn is free to move down the file while the White king has to aid his pawns, and both sides will end up with one queen, thus it is likely that they will draw despite the fact that White will still be one pawn up.

if 1. Ka6

then 1. .... Kd6 and white loses his pawns and is faced with king and rook against a king

quite nice. some people must learn to accept the fact that you're not going to win all time. just you wait...

and for those who can't see the draw, 2...Rxe7 is stalemate.

The white king needs only three moves to take the rook, the black pawn has two moves to much to do to before it can change into a queen. By then the game is lost for black. If black tries to save it's rook or if it tries to attack with the rook, it's game is lost to.
