    I agree, this alternative solution is just as good as the one shown in the main line of the puzzle. It is even easier to find and calculate for the human eye, as it is more forcing and direct.

    So, unfortunately, this daily puzzle is ambiguous.

     

    Yeah... I was wondering why it wouldn't take my 2. Rxh6, although the alternative then became obvious.

    If white has to win by depending on stupid move by black, then black can do it anytime, need not wait till 4th move.

    It is giving following solution, 1. Rh3 Be4, 2. Ng4 Kh8, 3. Nxh6 Bh7, 4. Qg8+ Bxg8, 5. Nf7#

    But why would black play 4... Bxg8 and why not 4... Rxg8

    4... Rxg8 by black will kill check mate chances of white and put black in strong position, and even if white takes rook by knight, still black if left with queen

    Any disagreements???
