the reason why it wasn't finished is that there are at least 3 different mate in twos at the end.  the three I found are below

5 .... Kc7 (forced)

6. Rb7+ Kc8 (forced) 7. Qa8# or 7. Qc8#
or 6. Qb7+ Kd6 (forced) 7. Rb6#
