how in hell did that king ever get out there in the first place?
Good one, working Knights and Bishops together!!
Good one... looks like Legal Mate.
Just playin' what feels natural...
Nice :) !
I would like to know by which opening you get to this position?
Good one. Such a HUGE difference compared to yesterday's puzzle.
The power of 5 pieces !!!
mate in 3 if 1.Nce4+,Ke5 2.f3+Kxf3 3.d4#
That was my initial thought as well, but after 2.f4+ black has 2...Kd4!, and there seems to be no quick enough mate. For example, 3.c3+ Kd3 4.Nf2+, and the king still has 4...Kc2.
Why 2... Kxd4 instead of 2... Nxd4?
After 2...Nxd4 or 2...Qxd4 white can give immediate checkmate by 3.f4#.
Why not qxd4 or nxd4 for the second move of the blacks? With a queen sacrifice, the mat can't happend, right? (2.qxd4 3be3 3qxe4!)
after qxd4 simply f4#
WAY too many moves for the two knights at the beginning.
Cool mating net.
