Can't black move the pawn in D2 to capture the rook in C3, then that would break the checkmate, right?
mate in 1 is not a puzzle...

This is ridiculous...I have never been challenged by a daily puzzle. Sad time...

This isn't really a puzzle..........it's like 'Show me how to checkmate with two rooks.'!
Which is extrememly easy for surely most of us here...if not, all of us!

Is this stalemate?
Don't usually bother with chessgm's puzzles because they're so poorly thought through but this caught my eye due to the two-bishop mate:-
Frankly, I'm always happy if I can complete a two-bishop mate in under 20 moves but something tells me there may be a quicker one using those two white pawns but I can't see it - anybody ?
