If 1. Qa8+ Bb8 2. Qb7+ then 2...Qxb7. White must play 1. Qb7+, when black's queen cannot capture white's queen.

Some people seem to think white should play 1.Qa8+. With 1.Qb7+ available, 1.Qa8+? seems such an obvious blunder that I cannot imagine giving it more than a moment's consideration.
how can I forget this, it happened to me this before.

No one as yet, seems to think Qa8 should be played. Quite on the contrary in fact. Worthy of a moment's consideration.
Why not just move the white queen to A8 and checkmate in 2 moves.
