I solved the problem, but is the whole point to isolate the king? Whats the line for mate?

Good job gnug. There's the answer: White has made an even trade in material but also great positional gains. He has rescued his connected passed pawns, and black will not be able to stop them without concessions.

Mating the King was not the top priority in this puzzle. In terms of pieces, both are equal, after White and Black losing a Rook respectively, now White has the advantage and is pressing the Attack on the Black King. And White can capture Black's pawns a bit easily now too (But looking at how the pieces are arranged, I believe that Mate is quite far away..)

After this position:

3. ... Rf7 practically forces the trade, l'est white face the possibilities after 4. ...Qf8 threatens mate.  With 4. Rxf7 Qxf7, 5. Kg1 virtually eliminates black's attacking power, with black having to defend against the passed pawn and the white queen's threats on black pawns.  5. ... Qb7  6. Qxc5 Qb1+  7. Kg2 Qb2+  8. Kh3 Qxc3+  9. Kh4 Qe1+, and ultimately the best white can hope for to avoid perpetual check is the trade -  10. Qg3.  Black will then be able to get a queen right after white, and the battle once again seems even.

Basically, looks like this move of the day doesn't bring white out way ahead, but perhaps gets him out of a sticky situation.  Or did I miss something?
