Does waiting for d4 (h5, c3 h4, d4 e5xd4, c3xd4 h3) produce a better tempo?  It seems the better choice to me, but I'm not sure.  It ends the same, but the black king and queen has a better position?

    Thanks.

    Easy one.

Another easy puzzle. Still interesting though. By simply giving up a pawn, Black maneuvres himself into a much stronger position. White could decide to not take the pawn, but that would gain Black a promotion as well.

I assume that the pawn sac is so that the King doesn't get mated or the Queen face connected pawns?
