White use's the tactics of 1.Discovery, 2.The Knight Forking Blacks King and Queen. All leading to The ole' famous checkmating pattern so named: The Legacy of Andre Philidor: Note; The Smothered Mate is a common method of checkmating. It comes about; when a (N) Knight Checkmates a King thats smothered(surrounded) by his friendly pieces and he has nowhere to move nor is there any way to capture the (N)! Thanks for the lesson! Chess.com is the Best!
I know this mate
I have seen similarly problem .
My friend made this
Black to move first? This is not chess!
The fool's mate is nothing new. It's odd that black goes first. Also, on top of this, a puzzle with a blank chessboard is stupid. Do a game diagram instead of a puzzle. For the first move, there are 20 possible moves. On top of this, a puzzle is supposed to assume best play, and white didn't use best play here.
Here is the classic fool's mate:
again, but with white:
happy independence day.
