RxNc8 only makes it worse for black. Mate in two after that.
Someone help me understand why you don't play 1. Rc7+ Kb8 2. Rb7+ Kc8 3. Rhc7# ? Was the goal to play for a more complicated mate?
I'm curious about this myself. Are we missing something here?
I guess technically King could go to a8 and it wouldn't work then. This is the better solution. But I guess you could do Ra8 then Rhc8and pinch that way.
pg 10 what the????
great puzzle, black had no chance!
tricky knights everywhere!!
Thanks for the lesson!
this time its a little puzzling....
On the 3rd move black cannot take the white knight, because then the king would be trapped by the two rooks, neat!
I guess im not advanced enough to understand that. Been wondering about why it didnt take the knight... Cant seem to get it
If 3...Rxc8 then 4. Ra7+ Kb8 5. Rhb7#.
solv for rouk ease
