White has the superior Kt and the e7 pawn but that pawn is blockaded plus Black just moves his bishop e7-f8  or the K to c5 if White tries to move his Kt to d4-c6.

How should White respond? What is White's plan?

How about Nd2 followed by Ne4. This leaves the black bishop completely stuck. Not sure how it would continue though

Continuing from the above diagram...Black's cheapo attempt 3... Bf8 doesn't work, because White won't fall for 4 Nxf6 Bg7, but instead wins with 4 Nxg5 (4... fg 5 f6). If Black retreats his king to b6, White has a straightforward win with Kc4 followed by rerouting his knight to c6.

The real question is:  what happens after 3... h6?  And--I think--White has a win with 4 h4 gh 5 g5, mainly because the e-pawn will be able to queen with check.  But there might be some safer (and saner!) way of proceeding from the starting position than that.  A very interesting position, by the way!--usually you can manage to find some circuitous way of winning or other (but definitely not the kind of situation you want to have happen in a blitz game).

Black could also take his chances with 1... Kc5 2 Nxa5 Kxd5 3 b4; things don't look any too cheery for him there though.

These comments are far from perfect, but provide some ideas on how to win this interesting ending.
