Cool Endgame Strategy #4

In K+P vs K+P, when material is even, the game usually ends up a draw.

However, a cool endgame strategy is that of sacrificing a pawn to queen a pawn.

Here's a basic endgame position where even though there are 3 pawns against 3 pawns, the sac of a pawn can lead to the queen of a pawn.

The idea of the pawn sac is to clear the path of a pawn of an opponent's pawn which block's the player's pawn from queening.

i've seen this through their free chess lessons demo..hehehehe...what a coincident.

the nearer your pawns gets to the other side of the board, maybe it creates an advantage.
