I created Chess EndGame Analyzer, and generator of 3-4-5-6-7-chessman tablebases. Version 4.
    (29 march 2011) For download -
    http://generatorchess.com/
Format - DTM, 7-chessman tablebases can be generated using 4 GB of memory (maximum - 8 GB memory required).
chessdll.dll allows to address to bases (.tby).

Description of  Retrospective_Chess_Generator4. This application generates tablebases for chess endgames.
By default generated bases are stored in  /Bases folder.

    Description of ChessDLL.dll.
This project is created to make it possible to use generated tablebases for other programs.

    Description of RetroChess3.
This is a chess program. Allows to analyze and search for chess positions in endgame if the corresponding
tablebase is available. The program plays from any position even if there is no tablebase, but it's not
strong, since it's been developed as a shell for endgames tablebases. Current version doesn't have a well
    optimized evaluation function.

A nice feature for the RetroChess3 program would be for you to just choose a random starting position.

Right now if I choose an endgame it always loads the same one. I see that you can cycle through positions but I think a random feature would make it a great endgame training program.

OK. When I launch the program, I decide I want to practice KBB vs K endgames. I select that endgame and click the Start endgame button. It always loads the same endgame, I assume the first one in the tablebase.

What I would like to see, is a button that would start a random game from within the chosen tablebase. I see that I can change the position I start with but not any way to randomize that selection.

    1. Select 4_KBB-K.
    2. Click "Start Endgame".
    3. Click "Change position".
    4. Enter random Identifier.
    5. Enter complexity (distance to mate, for example, 16 - in "Evaluate").
    6. Click "First>>".
    7. Click "Select position".

Cool, a bit of work but it will do what I want.

Still would be nice to have a button that would make all those selections for you, all randomly, and then allow to you start with that.
