This is a position I had. I offered a draw and my opponent accepted. Was it a draw though (I'm white in this position, it's black to move)

In my opinion, you have the advantage; one way to execute that is to try to exchange the rooks (of course Black will try to repel it), and then you have an extra pawn.  But I may also agree with your offer of draw just to get away with all that needed brain power because one mistake will cause you the game.  Your opponent accepted immediately because he's losing in material.

Yah, I guess you're right, I just wasn't thinking enough. You see, I thought I was stuck in this position and couldn't make any progress though now when I think about it I was threatening b4.

I think you could have taken more of his pieces, but that might not have won you the game.

What makes you think that?

Theoretically, the position is drawn. 34...Rf4 35.h5 gxh5 36.Rxh5 Rg4 =. More importantly, since the draw wasn't obvious even to you, you should have played on unless alot was riding on this game. Your opponent might have gone wrong.

I guess you're right, and I should try not offering a draw too early again. But in your continuation, what about 37.Rh2

PS. I think I managed to answer that question myself

Actually you were not threatening b4 because of Ka4! when black will get the a3 pawn and be close to mating the white king

Matt, 2 things. One, read likesforests's comment, and two, if I move my King to b2 and then do b4, then we trade pawns and I get a passed pawn.

You mean, if my opponent knows how to play. Read likesforests comment for how to play.

I don't know...    But still a draw is better than losing
