No more Serious Blunders, this seems to be an interesting mate used by smart players and people that are mated with Legalls mate Are mated by GREEDYell, This also shows to not get GREED! Yell

.........Yeah, its an easy puzzleInnocent.But when I tried to make it a diagram it would'nt let place the two knights together,so I made this a pathetic puzzle...CryBut Nevertheless Enjoy!Smile

I've posted the whole sequence. It happened in a game I played.

It's a weapon only used against weakre players... hehehe

Yep. Comes up in a lot of beginner games.

I saw a USCF tournament game where an 1100 player mated a 1300 player with Legall's Mate. The 1300 player had just assumed that the 1100 had blundered his queen because he's a weak player, but it was an intentional trap. This is what happens when you get cocky and pay too much attention to your opponent's rating instead of the position on the board.
