I like this puzzle , it shows how to react to this situation. It has happened to me more than once and it's good to know.

This classic breakthrough idea, published by Cozio in 1766, illustrates an important concept in pawn endings.

Not very practical, but as John Nunn wrote, there is more to chess than gaining a few rating points.
