DavidForthoffer, you are not in the John Nunn league on that; it is better left to specialists - Nunn et al -  extracting *meaningful* info from tablebases...

The 2002 edition of Secrets of Pawnless Enings by J Nunn indicates that these are won by the queen, isn't this exactly what Forthoffer indicated?

Point taken, crow eaten, egg on face, sorry for posting without checking up, etc....

Awesome puzzle, Ozzie.  Is it just me or is Be6 incredibly difficult to defend?  Is it possible?

Gonnosuke: I think you mean that Be6 is incredibly difficult for white to attack. As I noted in my post #11, I believe of all black options that this is the best one.

But, yes, it is possible for white to win against all defenses, including ...Be6.

It seems so obvious now, I'm not sure why it took so long but I believe that [removed] is the key to attacking Be6.  Example: [solution removed]

Well done.

Be6 Qd4 Bb3F Qf6 is my solution; I'll add yours.
