No, i think White is down too much material.  Since I see no way to defnend the rookk, White will be down a rook and a piece.  I think this position is worthy of resignation

Young man, the pin on your b2-rook is the cail in the noffin....

It depends...

Is the position lost ? Yes, without doubt. Actually, you can even take the b6 rook off the board, if my opponent has enough time on his clock, I still resign (one more piece + a4 passer = easy 0-1 at my level)

Is the position worth playing on ? It depends. If you do not know how to mate with one more queen, you might want to learn.

CoenJones

here is another one. too early??

Irontiger

Again : it depends.

If :

1-you know how to win with one more queen

2-you are sure your opponent knows that too

AND

3-you realized you lose a queen

then yes. Otherwise, no.

This second puzzle I believe is mate in 2 after the forced Kf2 then follows Qh2+ and both Ke3 and Kxf3 result in Qe2++

(Black is winning even without that, of course)

So the answer is no : let your opponent the pleasure of playing this nice mate, that's what make chess beautiful.
