If it is White to move then Rd7+.
I thought about that, but if Kxd7 rather than Nxd7 the knight fork is averted and you're down a rook for no compensation.
1.Rd7+, Kd7 (1...Kf8 2. Qf7#) 2.Qf7+, Kc8 or Kd8 (2...Kd6, 3.Qe6#) 3. Nd5 or Ne6 forces mate depending on whether the K is at c8 or d8.
Very good, Philidor2000.
Both continuations after 1.Rd7+! end badly: 1...Kxd7 2.Qxf7+ Kd8 3. Ne6+ Qxe6 4.Qxe6 Nd7 5.Rd1 Rb8 6.Qxa6 Rc7 7.Qa8+ Rc8 8.Qa5+ Ke8 (...Rc7 9.Rc1) 9.Qd5, and now black can only avoid Qe6+ with 9...Nc5, and 10.Rc1 is the capper.
The alternative, 1...Nxd7, continues with 2.Nd4+ Ke8 3. Nxb6 Nxb6 4.Qc7 Nd7 5.Rd1 Rd8 6.Rxd7 Rxd7 and 7.Qxe5+ picks off the rook.
So here's a fun position I played recently. Maybe you'd like to figure out what I played.
I'll post the answer soon.
