(Incidentally, I can't believe it actually took me a while to figure out that the knight can't reach the centre square. Though I wonder why a white piece and a black piece are working together anyway.)
The chess board was set up the wrong way :) (a3 and c3 should be black not white). I think I like this one better though.

Well, technically you have a white square on bottom right, so depends on how you look at it. But yes, A1 is a black square.
But I think it'd be hilarious to have a souvenir photo of a friend and myself playing chess on a rollercoaster.
I'm pretty sure there are already one or two threads on chess.com for the rollercoaster chess thing.
