Just last nite I played this variation for the first time. I went from confusion, to amusement, to having some really good games. I would be interested to hear from other enthusiast's for this type of chess play.
I'm a big fan of this variation (though here in Serbia it is called 'Фишеров шах' - 'Fischer's chess'), so we could play a game or two!

it picked position 38 for me.
Ok, Cool. Let's do this.. Not sure how though. I would like to move e5.
Ok I edited the board and moved Bg2.
We could excange moves by notes, and track the moves by this thread! :)
Allright then. Let's see here..Bc5
we really really want to do this on chess.com :) i think in 3-4 months!
Great -fischer random chess.
That would be awesome Erik.
Kudos to you Erik!
Following on from Teshuvah - another vote for this. I find this variant does add to the original game without getting gimicky. A great leveller on the openings front which I believe was why Fischer invented it - as he was finding play stale with masters playing 20 rehearshed moves against each other.
It does level the playing field. Once the game starts the rest is up you, and the tactics you've learned thus far..At least that's the way I see it.
I think it is perhaps the only chess variant that has serious merit and worthy of further investigations once one gets passed some of the positons that absolutely hold an edge for one side over the other.
???????????????????????????
Awesome! I love this chess variant, it feels new and exciting every time you play, but there aren't many good places to play it online. Thanks Erik, I can't wait!

I think it's a silly game. Why bobby fischer invented this game for I do not know.
960 is awesome it is the only way i can beat my friend (other than odds and bughouse) my record against him is 2-0-1 his rating is about 1900 in USCF and chess.com
lol. Good for you man!
Just started playing 960 and it is fun and different as I do not have to worry about technicians that have prepared lines and lines of play in any opening.
And further more I will never play I think against Peter Leko.
Every year since 2005, Peter Leko played a rapid chess match in the Hungarian city of Miskolc. Each year, he faced a different world-class opponent.
No worry about preparation anymore.
Anyone who wants to challenge me at the 960 game do it, rated, unrated or takeback game, you are welcome.
