thanks jet, i dont have time to post. here Nd5 is normal, opening the deadly c file

    jetfighter13

you mean d5 not Nd5 giving up a knight for little compensation

off theory huh? well shucks, thats dissapointing. maybe someday i can play a real dragon yugoslav Laughing

ok, well Bd5 looks tempting. any ideas from my good kibitzer friends?

    actually h4 looks better

you did the plan with Na5 is exchange sac on c3 its just getting there faster

I would play g5, get the knight out of the way, the bishop isn't doing anything on g7 any way, the plan is g5 then h4 h5 and trade using the Bh6 idea, its just we are using a g file attack which is aiming directly at the King

its funny jet. I'm a theoretician, you are a novelist. Guess I just now realized that lol Laughing but while I'm stronger at openings, you are better at visualization i think. your idea in this game is the g file, but the h file is where the action will most likely be. h7 is weaker than g6

yes but if you can induce a weakness on h7 by removing g6 and prying at it from a different angle, Black is lost, I spent a good long amount of time to find a defence, I made a mistake for black in my analysis, but if black makes the slightest error, the g file, folwed by the h file should kill black

No you guys are doing it wrong h4-h5 with the pawn sac followed by g4 is the right idea or else samsch can break through faster than your method. especially watch for exchange sac and the dragon bishop. heres what i did in this uscf tourney and how i won:

later in the same tourney i played against the dragon again and did a different strategy:

those are my ideas for white in the sicilian dragon

so the choice comes down to which way you want to attack h7, I would play g4, but h4 seems to be the more proven meathod
