theres is no auomatic setup on chess.com that i know of hopefully there will be soon you must start out with 5 pawns on the normal pawn row white is offhorseense always white gets one horse one bishop one queen one castle and king on a run play on a pass play bishop takes the place of the king only one bishop can be used so the choice is horse 2 horses

on defense its the descretion of the player just cant have two queens object get the king to the opposite end without moving into check and no i havent played enpassant same goes with pass play bishop has to enter the zone on the other end without moving into check
