Seems good to me. You alright with that jet?
yep I am cool with that
im going to input the position after Qg4 into Houdini overnight (about 9 hours) and publish the results in the morning
hey guys after 16.Qg4 doesnt d5 just win outright?
and Houdini came up with that line, better in the position is 17. Qd4
better, but still loses
well Black takes the bishop and is getting mated, so this saves the bishop, and it prevents the already annoying Qf4+
How does black get mated? 17. Qd4 dxc4 18. e6+ (I guess that would be the move) 18. ... f6 and now what?
sorry forgot that the pawn could move sorry, but e7 would come, and now white has some options
houdini says to take the pawn. Qd4 doesnt earn you anything
all white has now is hope chess, Qg4 is an all out blunder
after Qd4 Nc6 is even better. Sorry Jet, but Qg4 is refuted
well it wasn't the worst that could happen, 6 or 7 days worth of human analysis didn't find the refutation, so the game would get very interesting after that
lol what happened is after Qg4 I found d6 and stuck with that and we spend 7 days analyzing that line, but if I had been studying the position after Qg4 I would have sought other alternatives. Funny how we were all debating d6 when d5 was right in front of our faces the whole time.
The conclusion of this is that although 0-0 seems dangerous and terrible at first, it actually wins the game. Thats what I loved so much about playing it, is that no one saw it coming
here is my chess coach's analysis of it (I emailed him the game)
Interesting game - I have a few thoughts on this one:
1) I'm not sure about 9.Nh4. Maybe White should play 9.Rg1 here? Looks strange to walk into the path of the dark-square bishop, but then his idea of pushing the g-pawn has the potential to be even stronger.
2) 9...g5 is optimistic. White could play 10.Nf5 here, which also covers the g3 square. As played I think you had a a strong possibility in 11...Qc6!, which is an improved version of the text move (11...Bxd4).
3) I don't like 12...Be3 for you. You should develop with 12...Nc6 or even take on h5 (since 12...Qxh5 13.Qxd4? isn't possible due to 13...Qf3+ 14.Kg1 Rg8#).
4) Developing with 14.Nc3! is stronger than what White played.
He mentions that 16.Qg4 is better than the blunder he made (16.e6??), but that should also lose (simplest is 16...d5).
Offbeat opening where you're behind in development, but good game!
Im gonna make a diagram with all current analysis
ok guys lets not do the analysis since i already solved it
