I assume you're referring to the Tesseract? I was looking at that a couple of days ago.

At the Brown Mega Corporation Center for the Artistical Research of Chess, our scientists have been turned on to some really interesting ideas. As part the mandatory conditionas of our government grant, we are obliged to share these ground breaking ideas with the public at low or no cost. So enjoy!

Above we see a sketch that shows symbols for all of the pieces in the opening position, but we also see them sitting on a new type of game board, one that shows all of the lines and angles.
