Last night I was watching a movie on TV & at some point they made an interesting reference to chess, so I thought "hmmm, wouldn't It be interesting to make a list of movies that have Chess in one way or another?".

The movie in question, although a crappy one, made a good analogy on women/men & chess, it's 2002's Two weeks notice with Hugh Grant & Sandra Bullock. I'd say the director is a big chess fan because in many parts of it chess is present either as deco, people playing & topic or conversation.

Can you name other movies?  If possible with actors & years...

The first Thomas Crown Affair, starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway.  Very nice interlude where the stars play chess with sex on their minds.

X-Men (2000) - Prof. X (Patrick Stewart) and Magneto (Ian McKellen) play a game of chess in Magneto's cell at the end of the movie.  "Still unwilling to make sacrifices?"

X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) - When Magneto and his mutants attack Alcatraz Island, Juggernaut tries to charge ahead and Magneto stops him saying, "In chess, the pawns always go first."  Then at the end, he is playing chess in the park and moves one of the metal pieces to show his power is returning.
