what sort of music do would you prefer before a tournament game???
Classical, even though I play guitar in a punk rock band. It's the best playing music!
I'm completely the opposite - i listen to death metal before a game. It help me wipe all of my previous thought from my mind so that i can fully focus on the game at hand.
I usually listen to rock before a game.
i listen to a tribe called quest, the who, nwa, and tom waits

"Top Gun Theme" by S.V
thnx for the comments.
I listen to music before and during all the games I play on here............no clue how many games its cost me so far since half the time i'm singing along while making random moves opposed to paying close attention...........but its more fun that way so I don't care that much :)
never been in a tournament though............but it would be rock ;)
A quick listen to the intro theme from Pac-Man and then we're off! Works especially well with blitz chess.
i don't like hearing music.
Sound of Silence - Simon and Garfunkle
The song is eerily relaxing and is all about destruction, which is basically the same way I feel about chess.
Nods to Jimbo
Yes Sir!,,,,,,,even when i am sleeping i am listning to everything, and hear them all.
Also the music,my music and all good music no exceptions.
Silence is for after the dead. The grave yard.
