reminds me of the time we played blindfold poker

We did a thing like that once, where when pieces captured you had an arena combat using Fantasy Trip rules. Problem was, we made the queen nine times as powerful as a pawn, and nothing could defeat it in battle to capture it.

Funny.

Wow.. I go with the mother... Isnt chess nerdy enough?
Oh man, if Paige Fox was real and she read this comment she'd die.
/she's the sister...

Life would simpler if there was only one game, and it combined the rules of all the other games. The only problem: what to call it?

"The Game"?

I lost.

I've lost something like 47 times..

I''ll say it; chess is nerdy enough already!
Qwertykeyboard
Chess isn't nerdy, just slightly unrealistic. But when you think about it, isn't everything?
thesexyknight
I'd say the "nerdiness factor" of chess decreased as people grow up. In modern society it's hard to look down on someone considering how many flaws everyone has / (this statement needs a smiley and a sad face because i'm not sure if this is good or bad lol)

I'd call it LIFE. But Milton Bradley already has a trademark on that branding; the real pity it that their version isn't even a mere hint of a shadow of Life.
There's irony for you - to make Life "simpler" as artfizz wishes, LIFE has to become more complex by at least a couple dozen degrees of magnitude.
An upside of LIFETM is that your rating is not constantly displayed. A downside is that the rules are vague.

An upside of
LIFE
Sir...I hope you are being sarcastic, otherwise you may need to learn how to read once again. The rules of LIFE are clearly stated....
Perhaps you wouldn't mind jogging my memory? What is rule #1?
#1 - The first rule of LIFE Club is: You do not talk about LIFE Club.
My nephew kicked my butt at Stratego Saturday. Seems all the chess is messing up
my other games, Battle Ship, Chutes and Ladders, etc. I am even finding it hard
to concentrate on Yahtzee lately.
Tough Dice! Over here we play Snakes and Ladders (with real snakes) - so you'd better stay focussed.
