Being a "lefty", you've decided to shop around for a sinistral chess set in the hopes of improving your 0-0-97 losing streak.
How about a NEW tread here , lets post some ideas on " signs you know your a really good chess player " lol
someone posted thst i think it didnt get as hot as this one
You are such a bad chess player that you're contemplating starting a NEW tread (sic) on "signs you know your (sic) a really good chess player ".
Problem is, you are clueless. That's the bad news. Good news is, you are "working on it".
Your opponent keeps having to remind you that chess pieces can be a choking hazard.
You're opponent, feeling sorry for you points out the longest variation in a forced mate he has initiated against you.
You're a bad chess player if... you play me and I win.
Your favorite strategy is to point towards the ceiling and exclaim: "Look up there, Eddie!" And, only then, you go in for the kill: "Mate!"
Look...this whole thread is not only disgusting but also absurd.
In these politically correct times, there is no such thing as a "bad" chess player.
I made it all up. Everyone gets an A for effort. At least you tried.
i dint get a A for effort ..i got from you sic , clueless and at least working to be a better player , all seemed a little disrespectful by hey there replies all seem to be just humor , except a few from whom ill not mention , unless i am still clueless ?
Robert, I think that you have taken the generalized and turned it into the personalized. There was never any intent from me to offend you. Cheers to you.
When you think, 'People talk about Kasparov, is that an opening line or something else or someone?'
Only a guess here, but I suspect that many bad players have never heard of him.
When you think that Karpov is a fish.
or Kasparov is a ghost
Karpov, and Fischer are the only two chess players I'd ever heard of before joining this site.
You'd heard of Karp but not Kasp? Really?
About 11 years ago, when I first started playing, I don't know that I had heard of Fischer even. Now I'm following Yifan Hou's career, and can probably name almost a hundred chess masters without any difficulty! That's pretty neat!
Yep. I'd just vaguely remembered somebody mention he was a world class Russian chess player.
