Post WEIRD openings! The weirder the better. Whoever gets the weirdest (i judge), will get 10 trophies!!
This is a really official chess opening called Hammerschlag Opening.
The worst official opening i can imagine.
what about the fried fox defense? :
Here's one my nephew played against me:
Needless to say he's rated far below me and has never beaten me yet. Maybe I can coach him a little.
I call this the McDonald's Arches opening.
I know my vote doesn't count but I vote Jeffreak !
Don't know if it has any value as a serious opening, but I've seen 1...a6, 2...h6, 3...b5, 4...g5 (rook pawn up one each side, then Knight pawn up two)
This is the opening I invented:
i like jeffreak's. but its not official
lol that one was funny.
Wait, is your nephew the one who beat HOUDINI?!?!?
Not as good as the similar yet much better Bongcloud Defense:
It's one of the most agressive lines available for black, giving black a slim chance of drawing but a good chance to win.
My sides are splitting from some of these options
Is this opening by Black weird, or I've just never seen it before? (I was playing White)
It cannot be weird, since it conforms to what is freely allowed. How did the game unfold against White?
I thought it was "weird" never having seen anyone lead with the rook pawns. Since you're interested, here's the whole game (no annotation)- expect a lot of mistakes at this level (I posted a few of them in "Blunders of the Day").
