I think one can go to a toy store, buy a cube, and look up the answer on the internet than one can find a master.

I'd say chess is harder... If you are good at memorization CFOP shouldn't be too hard.

are you kidding... rubiks cube is extremely easy once you memorise the algorithms ...not necessary to memorise all of them...playing a master in chess is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay harder
Well, technically it is very easy to 'play' a chessmaster. The hard part is winning.
