I think Heinzie has found the puzzle in question!! (Although I seem to remember it on the left-hand side of the board... whatever.) Congratulations! The thread-poster has had his question answered.
Now we can all get on with our lives.
This topic is quite funny.
Nytik, this one is - supposedly - by Tartakower:
Guys, seriously, can we get back to the subject of the thread, or as Baseballfan said, it will probably be locked! Which would be a shame, as I feel it is an interesting subject.
Besides which, LCP clearly does not have a rating of 2000 on Hard. But that's bye-the-bye. Let us drop our petty arguments, eh?
Yep, not 2000. Even to think that thing can hold a candle to 1600-1700 (FIDE) is a mockery. I know 1600-1700s can obliterate most of the people on this site including rich and certainly not get dominated game after game by rich who is more like 1400 at the very most. Anyway, rich and rainbowrising have been sufficiently shown up to be idiots so I will do as you say and drop the argument now.
Can we have a mod delete all the crap these guys have posted? I think people should be allowed to enjoy this interesting topic without having to read through their stupid little argument.
Apparrently. He was probably hoping that since I have posted in awhile he could say that without me responding. Lol, he is more foolish than he first appears.
I realize everyone justs want to get on with the topic without any arguments. But this is the real world we are living in here. If someone starts spewing crap with everything they write it's logical that people will rightly try to show them up.
Ah yes, Heinzie, that looks even more like the one I remember.
Of course, I've said this twice now, so I might just be speaking complete rubbish. But I suppose I might have even seen both puzzles before! Ah well, at least we have proof of concept.
Thanks dudes for the puzzles
Sadly the game is in question is still missing...
Still not satisfied? Well, here's a third one...
Hi everyone, I hope you can help me
I'm looking for an old real game (18th or 19th century) which a white pawn is promoted into a black knight (I don't exactly remember... but it was a black piece) in order to checkmate the black.
I do not think there is a game where white premotes its pawn to a black piece and black pieces can not checkmate its own pieces.
um.. Black can't checkmate its own pieces..
so obviously something is wrong here.
No, it was a discovered check. I know the game you are talking about, but I can't find it.
what is the point though? promoting white knight wouldnt have harmed the discovered check and mate folloiwng..
yes it would have. Then the black king could have taken the knight to get out of check (or some scenario like that.)
UGH, stop replying with smart answers! :P
and yes i agree with rich.. hes cheating! hes using an engine!! :)
Just wanted to continue the boxes
Interesting a white pawn promotes to a black king!
