I decided to post this game to see what would be said about it. Erik played a closed game in the beginning which I did not know is what he likes to do. Wink I never would have known how difficult it can be to play against someone who does this. This idea is new to me as I was always taught and read about open playing and board control. It's interesting how an opposite approach is just as, if not more, effective.

well obviously dropping your queen pretty much ended the game. sorry it happened like that! it's a good lesson in remembering that on EVERY move we should be identifying all potential CHECKS and CAPTURES!  thanks for playing! i'd love a rematch...

Yea, It's ok that it happened. You did what you could do in the game. My Queen was right there for the picking and you took it. You're just a big meanie head who picks on lower rated players. I see how it is! Smile I am just totally kidding.

I goofed up in the game. I saw that I had to move the Queen but for some reason I looked over all my options and lost sight that I had to move her. *shakes head* I don't know... *shrugs* But it serves me right and it is a good reminder to make sure of what is going on with every move we make before we make it. A rematch would be nice.
