    Hey guys,

I've got a game here and some questions to ask.

My opponent starts here with a Sicilian. As usual I counter with smith-morra but then he plays the mind-bogling move 5. ... e5. Now I just reacted with a simple bishop-move but does anyone know a really sound continuation?

And even though my attack succeeded I wonder if there where better moves over there? I do feel like I missed something. Here's the game:

I agree, Bishop c4 keeps that d pawn backwards for some time. I'm not too certain if there are other moves that are considered "best", but I like this one a lot. Quick castling, and you basically own the d5 square. Nice attack by the way. Very solid stuff :)

    nice game

    9.Ba3 looks very aggressive

9...Qxa3 would leave white with some trouble

First of all, thank you for all the replies.

Now, the point of 9. Ba3 was this:

    9.   ...       Qxa3
    10. Qxf7+   Kg8
    11. Qxg7    Qxc3 +
    12. Ke2

Now I'm sure it wouldn't be very sound, but I'm afraid I'm too much of an aggressive player :p

Yeah, I noticed that an hour or so after I posted this :-p

Any ideas what I should have played instead?
