why did the white resign at that moment?(the end of the game) , I'm new to chess it's a bit hard for me tothink of various moves forward.
Please consider the variation even if they are not all interesting but I want to know why is that in any case it's checkmate
Black's 2 pawns up. Besides which, White is a no-name playing a former world champ.
so there is not combination of moves that will bring black a checkmate immediatly
