I played the Caro-Kann today at the chessclub OSV (http://www.osvschaken.nl). A chessclub in Oss, The Netherlands. It was the first time I played the Caro Kann OTB. And I don't know the theory very good. I played as black.

Pretty well played, particularly considering if was your first Caro. But I don't think 12...Qd7 was your best. What about 12...dxc4 13.Bxc4 Na5 14.Be2 Nd5

Once your opponent slipped up, you were merciless

Thank you for the compliment.... Wow! Your line is great, that wins a piece, if I count correctly.

You lied about not knowing the theory well, you played it book

Have a look at 4...Bg4. It puts indirect pressure on the d4 pawn, so that White has fewer choices for early developing moves.

For playing Caro-Kann for the first time OTB, you were unlucky to encounter 2.Nf3 first up - it is the most difficult to play against!

Well, it's an opening I want to explore and I'm planning to play this more and more. So please help me with some lines.
