check out this amazing game in which I got pinned early but recovered and ended up forcing my opponent to resign. http://www.chess.com/echess/game.html?id=15956367

Was that a live game or a correspondence game?
correspondence game. very good win for me as I am 12 years old.

After 4. e5, you should play 4...h6 either to break the pin, or to win the bishop for the rook,
e.g. 5. exf6 hxg5 6. fxg7 Bxg7 and you're actually ahead in development.
or 5. Bh4 g5 and the pin is broken, so if Bg3 you can move the knight; if exf6 you can play gxh4.
I think 25...Rd2 was a forced mate, whereas with your approach I think White could have got a draw by repetition. Still, it worked, and you did well to get out of a sticky situation.
thanks for all your advise and compliments gabrielconroy.

wow! good game! keep up the good work youngster. As advise always check the board twice before making a move to not get caught in these pins.
Very good comeback though!
k patzer5, I will, thanx for the tip.

On move 15 you could've taken the knight on f3 with your queen (since the g-pawn is pinned). But you had something even more incisive, as they say (and it's a good pattern to memorize, since it's the sort of thing you'll find coming up a lot in games): 15... Rxg2+. Now 16 Kxg2 leads to mate in a few moves: 16... Qg4+ 17 Kh1 Qxf3+ 18 Kg1 Rg8. 16 Kh1 would not save White either, because after 16... Qxf3 17 Qe3 there's 17... Rg1+ (this double check forces the same winning idea as in the above variation) 18 Kxg1 Rg8+.
thancks alot tonydal for the master tips. I will use them in my future games.

Very good recovery after losing the knight so early on the game. I feel that your opponent should have dealt with your queen or your advancing knight early in the game and made the exchanges because you had the better position. However, your opponent just concentrated on the attack and that was his fatal mistake and as a result you took advantage of that hehe. I would probably give the same advice as patzer5 about being careful when making a move. I would also like to add that in chess always try look for that unexpected move and keep the opponent guessing. MUHHAAAA!!! Keep up the hard work :).
Thanks Winson for the compliment and advice. Ya me and Patzer5 play alike but he doesn't realy like playing chess on the internet anymore.
