The 1 game/week analysis here on chess.com just isn't cutting it for me-- I want all of my games analyzed! (not to mention that the computer here is a bit flawed on occasion). Does anybody know if there is a program out there where you can input a pgn file and within a few hours it'll pop out a fresh one with variations and auto-annotations? I'd love something like that, but I haven't been able to find quite what I'm looking for. I also haven't been able to find a minimalistic PGN-viewer with engine that could easily be used for the same thing and with the same efficiency.
PS. I'd love to churn out $50 for a membership but I'm afraid I don't have that right now, and even if I did I doubt my parents would allow me to get it (the last thing they want is me spending MORE time on the computer!)
Nothing free but Fritz11 Has a game analyzer built in, pretty good one too. I use it when I start an analysis
There are a few free chess engines and a free GUI called Arena. Some of the free chess engines are freakishly strong.
I don't think the free ones will just pop out a completely analyze game for you (I may be wrong) but you are better working in conjunction with the computer then just letting it do all the work for you.
Scid (free, Open Source) does this just fine. It can load and save PGN, and annotate a game using an engine. It includes several engines, and you can also use the free version of Rybka with it.
It looks good, I'm just analyzing manually by adding all variations, but how do I get it to annotate games?
