heya,

I was wondering if anyone could submit a game to the computer game analysis ,here on chess.com and copy it to the pc when done ?  I am not familiar with this option and don't even know why some movements are written in red.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Yes. The computer analysis arrives in your email in the form of a .pgn file. It can be copied and pasted into a Database such as SCID which is available in the downloads in the RESOURCES menu above. Or you can save it as a file on your PC. I'm not sure how much you know about .pgn files so if you want, you could send me a message and I'll help you with it.

The moves in red are the computers suggested alternative route, that is, the move it think you should have played and a short continuation. In chess.com analysis, this is then followed by another set of red moves, demonstrating why the move that was played was a mistake/blunder.

thx for the post wormrose !!

The computer analysis arrives in your email in the form of a .pgn file. It can be copied and pasted into a Database such as SCID-   I downloaded the SCID.....now, what does this database do ?  I will have to check it out, see if I can grasp it. If not, I will take your offer to help.  What I want is a way to follow the explanations in parallel with a board . I hope this can do that.

Or you can save it as a file on your PC.-  I know how to do this. I have another question : can a pgn file saved as such be filled in the database ? I have loads of pgn files saved on my pc and want to play them .

.................................

Nytik, thanks for the explanation.  I appreciate it.
