counter gambit

i need help when white doesnt take my e pawn in the alpin counter gambit but instead takes my d pawn with his c pawn what should i do or whats the correct way of doing it. heres what i did

well I never saw the controgambit refused...just I think this would be a BIG mistake!

pvmike if i did that and he was a smart good chess player he would take my queen then i would take back with my pawn then he would move his knight to b5 and win the pawn back.(forcing me to move my king) thats why i didnt do it

Yeah, I would go along with Ranigad's first example.  One more thing to consider:  on 4... Bb4 White has the option of 5 Qa4+ Nc6 6 Qxb4 Nxb4 7 Nxd5 Nxd5 8 de.  It does though look like you're getting enough play (indeed, probably more than enough) after 8... Nb4.
